Our two Lakeland hideaways are located in a rural idyll – the Lake District's beautiful Lyth Valley, which is only a few miles from Kendal and Windermere.
Honeypot Cottage is perfectly placed for exploring the Lake District; well-located yet peaceful. Surrounded by amazing scenery, you can enjoy the abundant wildlife, walks aplenty, and a local pub that’s only a leisurely walk away down the country lane.

Lakeland Hideaways: Interior Layout
Honeypot cottage’s layout makes the most of the local views with the living area upstairs and the bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs.
The unique upstairs living space has a welcoming log burner, a well-placed dining area and a compact kitchen, which takes full advantage of the scenery and provides access to the cottage garden via a private balcony and original stone staircase.

“A hidden gem in the best kept secret of the Lake District. We loved the little touches and location of this beautiful cottage. Just 10 minutes from Windermere and a world away from the hustle and bustle of life. Amanda and Mike are welcoming hosts who couldn’t do enough for us. From fabulous local tips to a chilled bottle or prosecco in the fridge we felt cosseted from the moment we checked in. Our dog Rufus made friends with live wire Rupert and had many runs on the extensive estate that is around this property. Overall you will not be disappointed as everything is thought of from a home from home kitchen to easy internet and clean modern bathrooms. Highly recommend.”
